Hey, it’s good to be back home again.
But sadly, only in photos… and even edited at that. Just my wishful thinking!
I was supposed to go home for a few weeks to the Philippines at this time to attend my oldest sister’s 70th birthday celebration. My sister and her husband are also celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They had a full-on double celebration for the past 2 days: golden anniversary ceremony on Saturday and 7 decades birthday party on Sunday. I missed both milestones because of the pandemic.
To those who sent me photos and videos, you know who you are, thank you for your thoughtfulness. I am touched when photos and videos are sent to me on my inbox instead of me looking at Facebook posts. Call me weird, but I feel special when they send these purposely for me because I know they were thinking about me.
Anyway, I am happy for my sister and my brother-in-law. Looking at all the beautiful photos and videos taken during the occasions make us strive to work on our own relationships and families in the hope that through God’s grace and mercy, we can reach these milestones and breakthroughs too.
To Manong Fred and Manang Mercy, we emulate your good moral values, your strong family ties, your leadership, your tenacity in life, your integrity and your strong faith in God. Thank you for standing as the father and mother for all descendants of our family when our parents passed away. I have always believe that we have this closeness as a family because of both of you who kept us together by following our dad’s last words of always staying together as a family. Thank you for speaking and declaring blessings upon every member of our clan. And in Jesus’ mighty name, I say amen to that.
My family and I send you our love and prayers for long life, good health and strength. We will see you in a few year’s time so that we can take photos together.
In the meantime… let’s enjoy all these photos with my edited photo beside you.
